Mrs. Karen Veria Bailey is married to a wonderful God given, custom made man, Pastor Sean St. Michael Bailey. They have two sons, Caleb & Joel. Sister Karen said yes to Jesus at a tender age of 12! Sister Karen began teaching Sunday school at the age of 21, served in the youth department and sang in the choir in her childhood church Park South Church of God in Phoenix, AZ.
During this time, God manifested His gifts of prophecy and discernment in her. In recent years, she has came to understand and accept the call in her life. Sister Karen has diligently look and searched for truth about religion and a closer relationship to God.
Through her spiritual quest for answers through the Holy Spirit, Sister Karen questioned the essence of faith, grace, mercy and evidence of the Holy Spirit. Many uncertainties were answered and Sister Karen began an effective relationship with Abba, Daddy, Father, God and her Savior, Lord Jesus Christ certainly not a vain legalistic religion!
She graduated from Mesa Community College in 1990 with an Associates degree in Liberal Arts in pre-law and communications. She was a Commissioner of Student Affairs in Student Government and on the Dean's list. Sister Karen attended First Temple Church of God in Tempe, AZ, where she taught Sunday school in 1995. She was also the business manager for the National Christian Singles of America, under President Garee Norris in 1996.
Sister Karen along with her husband, began a ministry called B.E.A.M. Bailey's Evangelistic Angel Ministry in 1997 where they held weekly bible studies in their studio apartment.
On December 4, 1998, Sister Karen had the honors of pioneering the start of a new church Desert Streams Church of God in Phoenix, AZ then under the leadership of her father, Minister of Music Lemuel Carter & mother Reverend Gail Carter and her husband Pastor Bailey. She served on the trustee board, moderator and the devotion leader.
In November 2000, she followed her husband to work in the vineyard of Westside Church of God in Tucson, AZ where she is the President of the Westside Women of the Church of God. Sister Karen uses her talent with the praise team and singing in the choir. She occasionally teaches adult Sunday school and worked with the youth department called Teen Talk in 2003.
She love loves music, singing, playing volleyball and basketball. She enjoys traveling and meeting new people. She graduated from the Arizona Academy of Beauty September 2004. Her favorite songs are His Eye Is On The Sparrow and Praise Is What I Do.
Her Favorite scripture verses are I Cor. 2:9 But, as it is written, "What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him," and Romans 8:38-39 "For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Sister Karen knows all her steps are ordered by God. She walks in newness of life, no more chains binding her! Her one desire is to see the "Church" be one in Christ and God's kingdom advancing.
