Deacon's Ministry
The Deacon's Ministry provides service to the congregation, supports Pastor Bailey and Westside Church of God Members, support the vision of the ministry, participates in other ministries within the church and special events or functions the church presents.
The Deacon's ministry is unto the Lord, but it is carried out within the context of our church. Our pastor, under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, chooses the Deacon. Pastor Bailey desires all deacons to be active, knowledgeable and able to do the work of a deacon. He can choose as many deacons as he deems necessary to do the work that must be done; however, there is a criteria he must use in his choosing. The man he chooses must possess certain qualities. The pastor gets his checklist from 1 Tim. 3:8-13.
